Sheykh Mehdi Daneshmand

// July 8th, 2008 // none

I just came across this audio clip from Sheykh Daneshmand. He gives a sermon trying to warn his audience of the grave threat that Bahai’s pose to them and society at large. Amusingly he describes Baha’is to be people that distinguish themselves by their upright character, clean dress, honesty etc. It is rather comical how in his hate speech he actually portrays a very correct image of the goodness of the Baha’is

For those of you that do not understand Persian here is a translation by BB. The translation is correct in its essence but a bit mild in regard to some of the insults that the Sheykh uses when he tries to sescribe the Baha’is as a threat.

UNOFFICIAL TRANSLATION of the Sermon:

Open your eyes!
The bahais are causing a stir
Can you see what they have done?
Do you know this?

Can you see how their actions coincide with their teachings and this is their BEST way of teaching their faith
Are you aware of this? Are you?

A Bahai girl, in a school of 800 girls, has studied herself to such a degree and carries herself in such a way that everyone is amazed.
Are you aware of this?!

She is so dignified that anyone who doesn’t know her, thinks that she is probably the daughter of an Ayatollah… but shes a Bahai!

Look at how a Bahai girl walks, and look at how a Shia muslim girl walks!
Oh oh oh! If I go on and on, you guys will lose hope! I should just say, “hey guys, I will see you in hell tomorrow. Honestly.

Look at what they are doing. I don’t want to make you hopeless — I want to wake you up!
Either you (Mullahs) know how to do something or not. If not, then get lost and let other [muslims] do their job. As soon as one of the Mullahs finally manage to do something positive, another one of you do something again.

I will say this and if anyone doesn’t like what im saying, they don’t have to come here tomorrow evening

The bahais faith is like a wolf to us and our efforts.
I will give a prize to the first person who shows me a bahai or jew who is a drug addict
You don’t see a single bahai who is a drug addict
You don’t see a single bahai whose behaviour is bad, who grabs someone by the collar to swear at them

When tested on the Quran at school, a Bahai would receive 20/20 and a Shiah Muslim would get 2/20
(Mind you, we only gave them a score of 2 because we know the student’s dad). I mean, the dad wouldnt be satisfied otherwise and would get angry.

I myself had a Bahai student, a Jewish student, a Christian student. I swear to that I would give 20/20 to a bahai for their personality and behaviour …because I cant give them 30!

In class, a Bahai student wouldnt have any quarrels with anyone, would never swear at anyone, never did he ever stir up the class, (shouts) VERY TIDY APPEARANCE!
SHOUTS EVEN LOUDER: But what about a Shiah?! Nothing. Search the school, you would find 2kg of substance.

THIS IS the description of ALL the Baha’i People that I know. I am
NOT Baha’i but I DO admire their attitude/philosophy/countenance/
actions/manners & ALL that goes with them! Thanx 4 sharing this!

Maybe its time he embraced Bah’a'u’llah and became a believer too!!!! Certainly the behavior of those who persecute, torture and kill Baha’is because of their beliefs would do best to eradicate hate from their hearts and work towards peace and harmony.

She is showing the truth of the following quote:
Should any one of you enter a city, he should become a centre of attraction by reason of his sincerity, his faithfulness and love, his honesty and fidelity, his truthfulness and loving-kindness towards all the peoples of the world, so that the people of that city may cry out and say: ‘This man is unquestionably a Bahá’í, for his manners, his behaviour, his conduct, his morals, his nature, and disposition reflect the attributes of the Bahá’ís.’

    (Abdu’l-Baha, Selections from the Writings of Abdu’l-Baha, p. 70)

Hi everyone, I am the owner of this blog and recently realized that hundreds of people are coming to this post which is actually a few months old.

I am very keen in figuring out how this post is suddenly getting so much attention, please do be so kind and drop me a line here in the comments explaining how you got to this post?

I too watched the video. At least he is honest in that regard even though he says it due to his animosity towards the Baha’is but on the other hand this is a call to every one of the Baha’is around the world to do their best to live a Baha’i life as described by the founders of the faith.

  8. This is fantastic publicity for the Baha’i Faith. Look at the audience he’s addressing and we couldn’t find a more accurate speaker on the virtues that Baha’is embody. And asBaha’u'llah has stated ” let deeds not words be your adorning”!

The link to this post was forwarded to me in an email, perhaps that would explain the increase in views.

This man sounds like he likes to keep the hatred going. This is the time where the world and Iran needs the teachings of the Baha’is even more. He knows what the truth is and it is not in the Shia sect. It is not a true faith is you kill and discriminate against another human being JUST BECAUSE he has a different belief. This is not truth and it just doesn’t make sense. Pure and simple. When you are able to embrace all irregardless to colour, background or religion THEN you are upholding the Universal Law. Respect to others and respect to one self. When you expend so much energy trying to keep others oppressed then you in turn are just oppressing and holding yourself back. The Iranian people are so much more than this. They deserve so much.

Bahai’s are innocent, kind people and yet they are still being prosecuted everyday in Iran because of their belief in their faith. Now how fair is this? Then again there is nothing fair about this Mullah government.

What a wonderful confirmation of what Baha’u'llah has instilled in all
Baha’is the world over. The Truth is “One” and the same, no matter from what lamp it shines. At one time the lamp was the esteemed Apostle Muhammad(pbuh) and the light that shone forth was of God, but that lamp has been covered with man-made interpretations and bigotry, thus blocking the Light. A new lamp has been brought forth with the same Light but without the outworn traditions, prejudices, fanaticism, etc.
As for the fate of this lamp, “This is the Day that shall not be followed by Night”, and that Day dawned from the land of “Ta” (Persia).
(I heard about this site from an email sent to Baha’is in New Hampshire.)

I think it is amazing the amount of hate that the Muslims have for the Baha’is. If they knew anything at all about the Baha’is, they would know that the Baha’is have nothing but love for them and His Holiness, Muhammad. They need but open up a Holy book of the Baha’is and peruse their Writings and they will come to know the truth about the Baha’is. We love and revere Muhammad and all of the Messengers of God that came before.
I think the Mullas are fearful of the Baha’is because they are afraid that they will lose their congregation. Baha’is are lovers of humanity, and are not interested in glory seekers ie clergy, mullas etc. To all of my Muslim brothes and sisters, seek the truth for yourself and you will see how you have been misled. Seek God in all that you do and then tell me if you see, in any way, any contyradiction of what Islam stands for and His Holiness Muhammad preached. You will not - if anything, quite the contrary.
    Peace be with you all.

“Those who’s words exceed their deeds, their death is better than their life.”

What a testimony to darkness that pervades the minds of the “enlightened”

May the light of Baha’u'llah shed God’s illumination upon all the peoples of the world
